William Yeatman (born April 10, 1988) is a retired American football offensive player who played five seasons during his career. He plays college football and lacrosse lectures at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Maryland. Yeatman was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent on July 27, 2011. Yeatman ended his career in 2015 after reaching the completion of an injury with Houston Texans. He credited five seasons in the NFL.

Initial years

Yeatman was born in Naples, Italy, to the parents of Dennis and Bonnie Yeatman. His father played lacrosse for the United States Naval Academy and retired as Commander after twenty years of naval service. Her mother, Bonnie, is a former teacher and graduate of The University of Maryland. Yeatman has four brothers: Grant, who is a member of the ROTC Navy and plays Club lacrosse at the University of Southern California, he now works for Jones Lang & LaSalle in Oakand; Caroline, former member of San Diego's Crew team team and Club lacrosse team. He is a San Diego State graduate and teaches English and trains lacrosse in Kiel, Germany for three years. He now lives in San Diego; Anne Morgan, who played lacrosse and graduated from Maryland; he won the national championship. Jack, a senior, plays lacrosse at Providence College.

Yeatman grew up in San Diego, California, and attended Rancho Bernardo High School, where he played football (as a tight end) and lacrosse. Yeatman earned all the league second year as the team left handling. As a junior, he switched to a tight end and recorded 26 receptions for 340 yards and four goals. As a senior, he recorded 36 receptions for 527 yards and seven goals. He is a three-time all-conference and all-city election in football, and an all-country election in his senior year. Yeatman was recruited by over 70 schools in football and received scholarship offers from 43 schools in football especially Michigan, Nebraska, Maryland, California, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, USC, Boston College, Florida, North Carolina, Dartmouth and Columbia.. His senior year, he is a finalist in the San Diego Prep Pigskin report player of this year's voting. In lacrosse he is the team captain in his senior year, the all-conference election four times and all the city and county players of San Diego this year. He was named the US Lacrosse All-American team as junior and senior and the Under Armor All-American team as a senior. He was a participant in the Elite 102 lacrosse camp Blue Chip Jake Reed and was recruited by Maryland, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Navy, Georgetown, North Carolina, Duke, Cornell and Brown before signing a letter of desire to go to Notre Dame in December 2005 Yeatman is a career leader and points points to Rancho Bernardo. His career in high school ended as the Rancho Bernardo Summer Men's Season 2005-2006 of the Year.

College career

After high school, Yeatman studied at the University of Notre Dame, where he played lacrosse (named All American) and soccer. Yeatman plays in every game of his career at Notre Dame in football which is used primarily as a tight final blocking. The Fighting Irish fell to LSU at Sugar Bowl that year. His first year, Yeatman was top scorer in the Notre Dame lacrosse team with 46 points on 21 goals and 25 assists. He is LaxPower Rookie of the Year and Great Western Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year and a member of Team 1. As a freshman, she noted there was no reception. As a second year student, he recorded six receptions for 37 meters. and as a junior he recorded three receptions for thirty yards through three matches.

In January 2009, Yeatman moved from Notre Dame to the University of Maryland. He played lacrosse in Maryland for his last two seasons at college, and also played football in his senior season. In football, he plays in a special team (making three tekel) and with strictness. Yeatman played in the last eleven games of the season, having broken his fingers during pre-season. He recorded 13 receptions for 134 yards. In lacrosse, Yeatman is fourth in the team to score both the Junior and Senior seasons, as Terrapins reach the quarter-final of the second NCAA lacrosse. Yeatman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Maryland.

Professional career

New England Patriots

Yeatman was signed by the New England Patriots as a rookie free agent on July 27, 2011. In a Patriots conference call on August 23, 2011, Yeatman says he does not plan to play much lacrosse in the future.

In four pre-season games in 2011, Yeatman recorded six receptions for 36 yards. He was released on September 3 and asked to be in the Patriot practice squad

Miami Dolphins

On September 4, 2011, Yeatman was declared null and void by the Miami Dolphins. Yeatman was used as a tight block and a tight reserve ending his rookie season.

In 2012, Yeatman was diverted from a tight end into an offensive attack, where he was used as a reserve midfielder throughout the season and his uniform number was diverted from 89 to 60 and 72 after final cut. Yeatman gets 35 pounds in switch position. He then shifts to keep up before the 2013 season.

In 2013 Yeatman plays in every game on a special team, as lineman offensive reserves and tight end before he is placed in injured injuries after tearing his ACL on 13 November.

Houston Texans

Yeatman signed a contract with Houston Texans on June 17, 2014.

He signed the injury settlement and was released on July 31, 2015.
