The 2013 WNBA All-Star Game is an exhibition basketball match that is played on July 27, 2013 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, the current home of Connecticut Sun. This is the 11th edition of the WNBA All-Star Game, and is played during the 2013 WNBA season. This is the third time the event is held in Connecticut, the others are games 2005 and 2009.
Beginners for the game are selected by fan voting. Fans can choose three frontcourt players and two guards. Chicago Sky Elena Delle Donne led the voting with 35,646 votes, the first starter to do so.

Coach
Trainers are determined by the previous year's conference championships. Lin Dunn, coach defending WNBA and East champion Indiana Fever coaching the Eastern Conference, while Cheryl Reeve, coach of defending champion West Minnesota Lynx, coached the West. This is the first time training the All-Star Game for both coaches.

Eastern Conference
In addition to Elena Delle Donne, Tamika Catchings of the Fever and Angel McCoughtry from the Atlanta Dream were chosen as front-line starters for the East, with Epiphanny Prince of Chicago and Cappie Pondexter from New York Liberty just in case. Delle Donne was unable to play due to a concussion, and was replaced in an early lineup by Tina Charles of Connecticut.
The reserves include Ivory Latta and Crystal Langhorne of Washington Mystics, Sylvia Fowles of Chicago Sky, Allison Hightower of the Sun, Shavonte Zellous of the Fever, and ÃÆ'â ⬠rica de Souza of the Dream, named as team injuries. Delle Donne's successor.
Western Conference
Forward Candace Parker of Los Angeles Sparks is the top voter in the West, and joins in frontcourt by Brittney Griner of Phoenix Mercury and Maya Moore of Minnesota Lynx. Starting guards for the West is Seimone Augustus of Minnesota Lynx and Diana Taurasi of Phoenix Mercury. Griner was unable to play due to a knee injury, and was replaced in the starting lineup by Rebekkah Brunson of Lynx.
The reserves include Lindsay Whalen from Lynx, Kristi Toliver and Nneka Ogwumike from Sparks, Glory Johnson from Tulsa Shock, and Danielle Robinson from the San Antonio Silver Stars. Veteran striker Tina Thompson of Seattle Storm was named as an injury substitute for Griner, marking his ninth all-time record in the All-Star Game.

Game
The West jumped out to lead early, but saw him yawn with halftime, and trailed as many as 11 during the third quarter. Candace Parker then took over, finishing with a 23-point All-Star record, as the West beat East 102-98.
